There is some very disturbing news in the world of software developers. Ian the founder of Debian on which Ubuntu is based has been molested by the police. Later on he 'committed' suicide. At several forums other Linux developers tell to be systematically harassed and or molested by the police too. This happens world wide. Strongly urged and adviced developers working on open source like Linux to protect themselves and start to conceal their identity and start working anonymously. Repeat, many programmers are in an identical situation. These programmers testify to be beaten, molested, intimidated and or nude Interrogation. Many see no other way than to commit suicide like Aaron Swarz and others. At this moment over 70 programmers since 2008 have tragically died after confrontation with usually the police or government. The last supposed words of Ian. The word Nigger is used, however read carefully. Ian wants to make a difference and thinks his suicide will also improve how Afro Americans are treated. With formal deepest regrets and being worried, developing open source software can be extremely dangerous for your own security. Take precaution! Contribute anonymously! Do not end up on 'the tragic death' list like the other murdered or suicidal programmers. Caution; This is real! From the government you cannot win are the last words of Ian. Human rights are a favour, not certainty. Again must emphasised Linus maintaining the Linux kernel to stop calling programmers who disagree with him and or make errors to commit suicide. Consult Wiki quote for how systematically hard Linus can be. Linus by figure of speech is out of control and acting more and more like Steve Ballmer including death threats. However asking programmers to commit suicide or bully them to death is not a crime but Linus, beg you to stop telling people to commit suicide. You do this all the time and you say you don't care where the code comes from Linus! Consider this and be warned and take precaution or wonder who will be next. So sorry, so sorry. It's like that and that is the way it is.
